"On 4/4/2026 a dear family friend and their two daughter’s, not to mention their precious dog Buddy and their two cats, Ash and Coco, experienced a devastating house fire that resulted in a total loss," Wunderly wrote. "Sadly in the fire their third cat, Sugar, perished."

"In a matter of hours, everything they owned was destroyed, leaving them and their loved ones without a home or any of their belongings," she continued. "The shock and heartbreak of losing everything so suddenly has been overwhelming, but they are doing their best to stay strong for their family, pets, and children."

The GoFundMe goes on to say that the family is in urgent need of support to cover the cost of essentials, temporary housing, and the eventual cost to replace what they had lost in the fire.

"Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference as they work to recover and rebuild," Wunderly said.

Weuderly added that they are also collecting  Target, DoorDash and Petco gift cards, and that they can reach out to her via Facebook to make donations.

As of noon on April 7, the page raised more than $43,160 to the cause.

"We are so grateful for any support you can give, whether it’s a donation or sharing this fundraiser with others. Your kindness and generosity will help them take the first steps toward healing and finding hope after this unimaginable loss. Thank you for being part of their journey to recovery."
