For over ten years, Rollins Ford Park has remained undeveloped for a variety of reasons. That is no longer the case. The purpose and design have changed significantly over that time, and what we will have is a destination park that serves both passive and active uses.
The park will be constructed in phases. Covid and a delay in the bidding process slowed things down a bit, but a groundbreaking takes place this fall. In addition to the two playing fields, basketball court, dog park, pavilions, and walking trails, there will be a playground area that will be like no other in the region, reflecting the rural surroundings. Kids of all ages and abilities will find something here to exercise both their bodies and imagination. Above is the artist’s rendering of the design.
Stayed tuned to future newsletters for ongoing construction updates!
