With the opening of At Home last week, the Manassas Mall continues to renovate the local shopping destination.
“The mall is currently in the process of center enhancements to include the expansion of the former Target box, which is currently well underway,” Manassas Mall Marketing Director Kelly M. Gilfether said.
According to Gilfether, the owners have renovated the food court, restrooms and common areas throughout the mall to accommodate new and future tenants.
“We have added new soft seating areas throughout the center and just added a larger, new train-themed play area located in the mall court, in front of the At Home store,” she said.
They have added 30,000 square feet to the existing vacant anchor store in order to accommodate several large entertainment and dining venues.
Among the new tenants, the Autobahn Indoor Speedway, Uptown Alley and Kraze Burger are currently under construction and will occupy the new expansion center.
“We will announce the opening dates for these tenants just as soon as we get a better idea of where they stand on their store construction completion timeline and what their opening dates will be,” she said.
Billy Beez, a children’s indoor play area, is also under construction near Sears.
"We shared our vision of incorporating entertainment and dining options to complement retail offerings with prospective tenants and the response was overwhelmingly positive," she said. "We anticipate making further announcements over the next few months on more new tenants coming to the center.”
The exterior of the mall will also be enhanced.
" exterior painting, enhanced mall entrances, new landscaping and a proposed signage package that will reface the dated existing signage," she said.
Manassas Mall is located at 8300 Sudley Road.
