Warrenton Man Charged for Rape, Sodomy & Abduction in Gainesville

U.S. Marshal took the man into custody

Rape Investigation – June 22, detectives concluded an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the 1400 block of Lee Hwy in Gainesville, June 8.

"The investigation revealed the victim, a 54-year-old woman, arranged to meet with an acquaintance, identified as the accused, earlier that morning," said Master Office Renee Carr."At one point during the encounter, the accused refused to let the victim leave and sexually assaulted her."

According to police, the accused then sexually assaulted the victim at additional locations in the Gainesville area before the two stopped at a local business later that morning. While at the business, the victim was able to separate from the accused as employees of the business contacted the police.

Following the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Tyrone Andrew McKinley Campbell, who was taken into custody, June 22, by members of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

Tyrone Andrew Mckinley Campbell, 38, of 136 Haiti Street in Warrenton was charged with 2 counts of rape, 2 counts of object sexual penetration, 1 count of forcible sodomy, 1 count of abduction

Hi court date is pending. He is being held without bond.
