Final Suspect Arrested in Manassas Armed Robbery and Carjacking

One woman and two men were arrested for robbery

JULY 29, 2024- POLICE UPDATE-  July 27, the final suspect, identified as Fatima Cruz Cruz  who was sought in connection to the robbery that was reported to have  occurred in the 7800 block of Brookview Court, Manassas (20109) on April 1, was arrested.

 Two additional suspects were previously arrested in connection to this incident.  

Arrested on July 27:

Fatima Cruz Cruz, 24, of 13202 Hill Ct. in Woodbridge was arrested, on July 27, and charged with robbery and carjacking

 [Previously Released] –April 1 at 1:29 p.m., officers responded to investigate a robbery that reportedly occurred in the 7800 block of Brookview Court in Manassas at approximately 2 a.m.

"The investigation revealed the victim, a 17-year-old male (juvenile), was meeting a female acquaintance in the area when two men entered their vehicle," said Prince William Master Officer Renee Carr.

During the encounter, the two men and the woman struck the victim. Then, the suspect, later identified as Jordy Antonio Baires-Bonilla, retrieved a firearm. The victim was physically struck with the gun, rendering him temporarily unconscious.

Later that morning, the victim woke up inside the vehicle and went to an area hospital where police were contacted.

A phone and purse were reported missing. Preliminarily, the incident does not appear to be random.

UPDATE: While continuing to investigate the case, officers identified the two men involved in the robbery that was reported to have occurred in the 7800 block of Brookview Court in Manassas, April 1.

The investigation revealed the suspects had driven the victim’s vehicle after he had been rendered unconscious. Some items reportedly stolen during the incident were later recovered.

Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the two male suspects and the victim’s female acquaintance.

In late July, the two male suspects, Jose Luis Gomez Ochoa and Jordy Antonio Baires-Bonilla, both of Woodbridge, were arrested.

Attempts to locate the female acquaintance, identified as Fatima Cruz Cruz, have been unsuccessful.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force assisted in the apprehension of one of the suspects.

Arrested between July 22-23:

Jose Luis Gomez Ochoa, 20, of 2861 Bowes Lane, Woodbridge was charged with robbery and carjacking. [Photo unavailable]

Jordy Antonio Baires-Bonilla, 21, of 13202 Hill Court, Woodbridge, was charged with robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, carjacking, and possession of schedule I/II drugs.

This was not Jordy Antonio Baires-Bonilla's first county arrest. 

Previous Arrest:

Abduction | Domestic Related – April 27, 2023, Prince William officers concluded an investigation into an abduction that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the 13200 block of Hill Court in Woodbridge (22191) on July 13, 2022.

The investigation revealed the victim, who was 21 years old at the time of the offense, was visiting the home of an acquaintance, identified as the accused, when a verbal altercation escalated.

During the encounter the accused struck the victim multiple times. When the victim took out her phone to contact the police, the accused grabbed and then threw the phone which caused it to break.

A short time later, the accused followed the victim into another room of the home where he physically prevented her from leaving.

Eventually, the victim was able to separate from the accused and fled the home. The victim reported minor injuries that were sustained during the incident.

Following the investigation, officers obtained arrest warrants for the accused, identified as Jordy Antonio Baires-Bonilla.  April 27, 2023, the accused was located in the Dumfries area and taken into custody without incident.

Arrested on April 27, 2023:

Jordy Antonio BAIRES-BONILLA, 20, of 13202 Hill Ct. in Woodbridge was charged with abduction, preventing the summoning of law enforcement, petit larceny, and domestic assault & battery. He was held without bond.
