UPDATE, Jan. 25, 2023: The Prince William Board of County Supervisors will hold a new public hearing on the Devlin Tech Park on Feb. 7, 2023.

The land is zoned residential but the supervisors added it to the 2040 Comp Plan.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE:

Please be advised the rezoning case known as Devlin Technology Park scheduled for the Board of County Supervisors’ meeting has been deferred indefinitely.

In recent weeks, many citizens, such as yourself, have raised serious concerns about the effects data center complexes could have on nearby residential communities.

All these concerns are worthy of more consideration, research by county staff, and greater community participation. Therefore, I strongly encouraged the applicant to defer the case. We will keep you apprised of any upcoming meetings or hearings on this controversial project.

Best Regards,
Jeanine Lawson
