Police Arrest Teens for Shooting into Bristow Residence

The juveniles were allegedly acquainted with one of the residents

Prince William officers responded to investigate a shots fire and the destruction of property incident, July 29 at 10:14 p.m., at a residence located in the 9500 block of Merrimont Trace Circle in Bristow. The incident reportedly occurred on July 25, around 2 a.m.

"The investigation revealed that a round entered the home through a bedroom wall, said Master Office Renee Carr. "During the investigation, officers received information identifying the suspects as two 15-year-old male juveniles, who were known by a resident of the home."

Further investigation revealed that one of the suspects took a firearm from his own home before both juveniles drove to the aforementioned area. There were no additional reports of property damage or injuries.

Following the investigation, officers obtained petitions for both juveniles on July 31. After consultation with Juvenile Court Services, the case resulted in a formal action to be handled through the court process at a later date.

Aug. 1, two 15-year-old male juveniles of Woodbridge were charged with possession of a firearm by persons under 18 and shooting in public places.

Their court dates are pending.
