Prince William Police officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 7800 Centreville Road in the Manassas area to investigate a robbery, Nov. 19 at 1:19 a.m.
The investigation revealed a masked man entered the store and approached the 43-year-old male employee. During the encounter, the suspect retrieved a knife and brandished it toward the employee before escorting the employee to the service counter.
While at the counter, the suspect grabbed money and lottery tickets before taking the employee’s phone and fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. Police K-9 and helicopter assistance from Fairfax County police searched the area for the suspect who was not located.
The suspect was described as a male last seen wearing a tan hat, sunglasses, a blue face covering, a blue jacket, a grey hooded sweatshirt underneath a black North Face sweatshirt, black gloves, grey shorts over black jogging pants, and white sneakers.
Other Similar Crimes
In addition to the 7-Eleven on Centreville Road, on Nov. 19, police are investigating similar robberies in the Manassas area of the county.
Police are also investigating an armed robbery at the Denny's on Sudley Road in Manassas that occurred around 1 a.m., Nov. 19. Police suspect two men of unknown race.
Police are investigating a Bank of America robbery, that occurred on Sudley Road in Manassas, Prince William County, Nov. 19, around 9 a.m. The suspect is a medium-built black man. Photos are available in the article. He did not appear to be armed.
Police are also investigating an armed robbery at the Home Depot on Stream Lane in Manassas on Nov. 17, before 1:45 a.m. Police suspect Cedric Murrel Milton, 46, of Bealeton. He is currently at large.
PIO Master Officer Renee Carr said police do not believe the incidences are connected at this time, although they are still actively investigating
