Police Arrest Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting 13-Year-Old Girl in Manassas

The girl was riding her bicycle when the man asked if she wanted a ride

Aggravated Sexual Battery | Abduction | Attempted Rape ARREST – On Dec. 15, detectives were able to identify the suspect sought in connection to the sexual assault that was reported to have occurred in the 5400 block of Hoadly Road in Manassas (20112) around 9:16 a.m.

On December 15 at 9:16 a.m., officers responded to the 5400 block of Hoadly Road in Manassas to investigate an initial report of a larceny.

The victim, a 13-year-old girl, spoke to police and wanted to report that an unknown man had taken her bike. Upon further questioning, the victim stated that the man had also sexually assaulted her.

The investigation revealed the victim was riding her bike in the area of Hoadly Road and Prince William Parkway when she stopped due to the weather and exhaustion.

At that point, a red truck occupied by only the unknown male driver pulled up next to the victim and offered her a ride. The victim agreed and the man loaded the bike in the bed of the truck before proceeding to drive away with the victim in the passenger seat.

The man continued a short distance to the above area where he then proceeded to sexually assault the victim in a nearby parking lot.

After the assault, the victim exited the vehicle and the suspect drove off with the victim’s bike still in the bed of the truck. The victim was able to take a photo of the vehicle before the suspect drove away. The victim was not injured during the encounter.

The suspect was only described as a Hispanic male with black hair wearing a white t-shirt. The vehicle appears to be a model 2010-2015, Ford F-350 with two-tone maroon/tan paint, a silver plow on the front, and a large salter in the bed.

Following the release of information and a picture of the suspect vehicle, information was obtained which ultimately led to the identity of the driver operating the vehicle at the time.

Detectives located the vehicle unoccupied in the Manassas Park Commuter Lot and were able to make contact with the individual who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The driver, identified as the accused, met with detectives at the Western District Police Station. The accused was not the owner of the vehicle.

Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sender Juventino Linares Rivera was arrested. Correction from the previously released information in this investigation: the victim is a 13-year-old girl.

Arrested on December 16:

Sender Juventino Linares Rivera, 35, of 10908 Coverstone Drive, #B2, in Manassas was charged with aggravated sexual batteryabductioncarnal knowledgeattempted rape, and attempted strangulation.

His court date is pending. He is being held without bond.

The victim’s bike was described as a teal-colored Huffy mountain-style bicycle. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the vehicle and identifying the suspect. The investigation continues.
