Assault & Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer [LEO] – Prince William Police officers responded to Bennet Elementary School at 8800 Old Dominion Drive in Manassas (Prince William County) to investigate a trespasser, Aug. 24 at 8:44 p.m.
Responding officers located a woman, later identified as the accused, in the parking lot and determined she was intoxicated.
"When officers attempted to detain the accused, she actively resisted and kicked an officer before being detained," said spokeswoman Master Officer Renee Carr.
Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Bonnie Sue Ellito, was arrested.
While processing the accused at the detention center, she spat on an officer before being re-secured without further incident. No injuries were reported.
