Manassas Park Man, 21, Dies in Single-Vehicle Accident in Bristow

The drivers' vehicle hit a parked tractor-trailer

Fatal Crash Investigation – Sept. 17 at 2:44P p.m., Prince William officers responded to the area of Hansen Farm Road and Wellingford Road in Bristow (20136) to investigate a crash.

The investigation revealed the driver of a 2022 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Hansen Farm Road and attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle that was turning right onto Wellingford Road by crossing over the double-yellow center lines.

The driver of the Corolla lost control of the vehicle, leaving the roadway and striking a parked, unoccupied tractor-trailer. The driver of the Corolla was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed is believed to be a factor in this crash.

The deceased driver of the 2022 Toyota Corolla was identified as Sayed Mohammad Hamed Shams, 21, of Manassas Park.
