Police Charge 2nd Suspect in Connection with 18-Year-Old Bristow Man Found Dead in Vehicle

Murder Investigation- Prince William County detectives have charged a second individual in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old Bristow man that occurred in the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas on June 25.

The deceased was identified as Michael Sakyi Jr, of Bristow.

On September 14, Prince William County detectives arrested the second suspect, a 16-year-old male juvenile, without incident. The Manassas juvenile was charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. 

His court date is pending. He is being held at the  Juvenile Detention Center.

As the suspect is a juvenile, police have not released his name nor his photo.

Previously Released - Prince William County detectives previously charged another man in connection to the shooting death of an 18-year-old Bristow man. 

On July 2, Prince William County detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and U.S. Marshal’s D.C. Special Response Team, arrested the accused, identified as Jamal Dana Allen, at his home in Manassas.

Jamal Dana Allen was charged with 2nd degree murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

His court date was pending (as of July 2). He is being held without bond

Homicide Investigation [Previously Released]- On June 25 at 8:47 p.m., officers responded to the 7900 block of Community Drive in Manassas (20109) to investigate what was initially reported as a crash.

Arriving officers quickly located a vehicle that had crashed into an unoccupied, parked car. As officers approached the vehicle they located the victim, an 18-year-old man, in the driver’s seat of the vehicle with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The man was pronounced dead on scene.

The suspects left the area and were not immediately located.

Preliminarily, this incident does not appear to be random.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to contact police. Additional information will be released when available.
