Police Investigate 2 Vehicle Crash on I-66 in Gainesville

Both drivers flown to area hospitals

Virginia State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Prince William County, 6:09 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 4. 

The two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of I-66 at Exit 43 in Gainesville.

"The driver from each vehicle was flown to Fairfax Inova Hospital for treatment of serious injuries," said police spokeswoman Corrine Geller.

The crash remains under investigation. 

That is all the information the state police are releasing at this time, said Gellar.
