UPDATE 2: Police Arrest Dale City Man for Quadruple Woodbridge Murder

Prince William County police detectives have charged 24-year-old David Nathan Maine in connection to the deaths of four adults that occurred at a home in the 5200 block of Mansfield Court in Dale City, Oct. 17.

All four of the deceased resided in the home with the suspect.

Police said Maine first killed Karrie Ayline Sotelo, 19. They also found her parents Miguel Duran Flores, 44 and Kelly Victoria Sotelo, 42 dead in the home as well as Richard Julio Jesus Rovollar Corrales, 36, the basement tenant. 

The suspect was an acquaintance of another family member who was not home at the time of the incident. 

The investigation revealed an altercation occurred inside the home. After the incident, the suspect left the residence and called 9-1-1 to report that someone had shot into the residence.

Officers arrived on the scene and located the suspect a short distance from the home where they detained him without incident.

At the residence, officers found the deceased in different areas of the home. Three of the victims were shot while the cause of death of the fourth victim remains undetermined. A firearm was recovered at the scene.

The initial claims made by the suspect were unsubstantiated. The incident was isolated to the home and there was no ongoing threat to the community.

Following the investigation, the suspect, identified as David Nathaniel Maine, was arrested. The investigation continues.

Police arrested  charged David Nathaniel Maine, 24, of the 5200 block of Mansfield Court in Woodbridge, on Oct. 18, and charged him with 4 counts of murder and 2 counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony

His court date is pending. He is being held without bond.

POLICE UPDATE Oct. 17 at 8:06 p.m.  – Prince William County police detectives have identified an adult male as a person of interest in the shooting that occurred at a home in the 5200 block of Mansfield Court in Woodbridge (22193) earlier this afternoon around 4:32 p.m.

That individual is speaking to investigators at this time. No charges have been placed. The incident appears to be domestic-related as the parties were known to one another.

The victims were preliminarily identified as two adult men and two adult women. The victim’s identities will be released once confirmed and a next-of-kin has been notified.

Additional information will be released when available. The investigation continues.

Shooting Investigation - officers responded to a residence located in the 5200 block of Mansfield Court Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a shooting, Oct. 17 at 4:32 p.m.

"When officers arrived, they located the residence unsecured and conducted a welfare check. Once inside the home, officers located four adults in different parts of the residence suffering from gunshot wounds," said 1st Sgt. Jonathan Perok. 

All four victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, the incident appears isolated to the residence, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
