Sheffield Manor Townhouse Fire Displaces 14 people

Four Bristow townhomes are badly damaged

Prince William Fire & Rescue units were dispatched to the 12000 block of Malvern Way in Bristow for a townhouse fire, on June 11, 2023, at 3:27 p.m.,  in response to a call from a Sheffield Manor neighbor. 

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and fire emanating from the back of the homes.  The department requested a second alarm due to the extent of the conditions and volume of fire,

Fire and Rescue initially reported that three townhouses were significantly damaged, and no injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office preliminarily indicated the fire appeared to be accidental in nature.

Update:  According to Prince William Fire and Rescue, in a later update, four townhouses were significantly damaged in the fire. Seven adults and seven children were displaced. The Red Cross arrived at the scene to assist those who required its assistance.

The Fire Marshal’s Office has determined the fire originated from a propane grill.
