Bristow House Fire Displaces 5 People

 Prince William Fire & Rescue units were dispatched to the 13700 block of Chardonnay Place, in the Linton Crest area of Bristow for several reports of a house fire, Oct. 11 at 1:55 p.m.

"Crews arrived on the scene with the rear of the house on fire spreading rapidly into the attic,' said Fire Marshal Matt Smolsky.  "A quick-fire attack brought the fire under control."

The home sustained extensive damage and was determined to be unsafe to occupy by the Building Official.

The Red Cross is assisting the 2 adults, and 3 children displaced.

One adult male occupant received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area medical facility. No other injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire started on the rear deck and was determined to be accidental with multiple possible ignition sources.
